The Chalet Malouin offers 38 bachelor suites for Assisted & Supportive Living residents who may require additional assistance with daily tasks. Each suite contains a private bath and kitchenette (with refrigerator only).
All Assisted Living residents receive a mandatory service package.
The service package cost is $948.00/month and includes:
- Light housekeeping
- Personal laundry
- 3 meals a day with snack in the evening (7 days per week)
- Recreational programs, activities & exercises
- Heat, Hydro and water are all included (Telephone/ Internet / Cable are NOT included)
Supportive Housing
Supportive Housing is provided for residents who require additional Home Care assistance to the Assisted Living Service
Package. It includes all the services provided to the Assisted Living residents, plus twenty-four hours a day / seven days a week, Home Care services.
Home Care
Home Care is a provincial program of Southern Health. The Home Care Case Coordinator will conduct a comprehensive Care Plan based on your specific needs.
Residents are encouraged to remain as independent for as long as physical / mental capacities will allow.
Rent
Rent calculations are based on 30% of monthly income (estimated between $257 - $555 per month) plus a base fee of $948.00 for the service package plus $11.00 utility fee. There are no additional fees charged for Home Care Services.
Other charges:
Shaw Direct Satellite TV is $25.00 per month
Valley Fiber Internet is $45.00 per month
Note: A $10 discount is applied if using both cable and internet for a total of $60 for both Internet & Cable
